Sydeajah was born on St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, and now resides in South Carolina. Sydeajah is an R&B/Pop singer, songwriter, model, and actress who has fallen in love with music and performing since she was very young and sang in a Calypso contest on her home island, St. Croix, USVI in 2008. She continued to perform as she attended a Fine arts school from middle to high school called Davidson Fine Arts. While attending Davidson, Sydeajah gained more interest in dancing and singing as well as acting while taking such Fine art classes and getting to perform her talents at school and on stage.
In August 2020, Sydeajah met her manager, JoJo Williams, and was later signed to JusJo Records. Sydeajah and JoJo began writing her singles and meeting other writers to work on her next project. In the making of her first project, Sydeajah has gotten the opportunity to work with amazing producers from the east coast to the west.
In 2021, Sydeajah released music projects such as her album “Diary of Sydeajah” and her Christmas EP “Sydeajah’s 25th of December” along with singles like "Bottom on That Beat" that are on all music platforms, worldwide. She has been selected for the WNIR’s “2021 Best Holiday Songs” with the songs '25th of December' and 'Dance With Me (On This Christmas)' from her Christmas EP.
Singing was something that Sydeajah always loved doing and knew she was good at, as she was always told that she was vocally talented. Now she is living her dream where she is not only singing, but acting on stage as well.
Sydeajah had taken interest in theater since she saw her first Broadway show “The Phantom of the Opera.” Since then, she has been inspired by the conviction of emotion and the ability to move people on stage and on film. Sydeajah began engaging in musical theater in school at Davidson Fine Arts, where she was in the productions “Tempest” as well as “West Side Story.” Now she plays “Grace” in Mr. Mouse & the Rat Pack, a hit Southern Broadway show written by JoJo Williams.
In the year of 2022, Sydeajah has been on the move with both her music and acting as she has released singles such as "On My Way Back Home”
and "Invisible." Sydeajah has been granted the title St. Croix Princess of Song due to her passion for her home island. Her love for her home island is constantly expressed each time she performs. Sydeajah’s song “On My Way Back Home“ is a tribute to St. Croix as it expresses the beauty of the island and its culture. “When I say U.S. Virgin Islands the first thing people think is St. Thomas, which is understandable since our capital Charlotte Amalie is there, but I want to officially put St. Croix on everyone’s radar, worldwide.”
This year, Sydeajah is not slowly down as she spends most of her weekends performing live at various venues and shows. Sydeajah has also been grinding in the studio, recording more songs that are bound to
climb the charts such as her new single "Crooked Letters." This year is looking very promising for Sydeajah’s career as she is also looking forward
to a few prominent roles on screen.
